Think at GC: The Metacognition Project
Think at GC will be implemented over a five-year period, beginning in the Fall of 2022. By explicitly informing and educating faculty, 工作人员, and students about metacognitive knowledge and practices, the QEP aims to increase undergraduate retention, 持久性, 和毕业.

The purpose of 想想GC:元认知项目 is to focus, 在战略上, on three primary areas of the Georgetown College curriculum: the first-term, 注重技巧, 基础111 (FDN 111)课程, 新生研讨会(GSC 101), and the high-enrollment entry-level classes where students struggle the most academically at higher rates.

SACSCOC (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges) defines the QEP as an integral component of the reaffirmation of accreditation process and is derived from an institution’s ongoing comprehensive planning and evaluation processes. It reflects and affirms a commitment to enhance overall institutional quality and effectiveness by focusing on an issue the institution considers important to improving student learning outcomes and/or student success.
